This friendly town provides a true small townÂ atmosphere. Sitting between the counties ofÂ Robertson and Sumner, the townâ€™s name comesÂ from a large, white 1829 home. The home wasÂ built by Richard Wilks and was a popular lodgingÂ location for travelers. It was said that PresidentÂ Andrew Jackson even spent time here during hisÂ trips.
