This friendly town provides a true small town atmosphere. Sitting between the counties of Robertson and Sumner, the town’s name comes from a large, white 1829 home. The home was built by Richard Wilks and was a popular lodging location for travelers. It was said that President Andrew Jackson even spent time here during his trips.
